First of all, Merry Christmas to my christian friends and to whoever is celebrating.
This is a tree I saw in a mall on my way back from work.
Yesterday the weather in Tunis was too cold and wet for my usual after lunch walk by the lake, so it was a lazy day untill...
After work it was still slightly raining (if that's a term hehe) so I decided to get some things done. I lately rented a new place and I'm moving my things there. It isn't far from where I live now so I can move them on foot. I went back and forth twice last evening which contributed to the 11k on actifit, something I used to find too easy to post about when I first got the app but lately it's not that easy for me with my lazy new life.
As some of you might know, I lived in Tunis for 5 years during my university days.
Back then
It was easy, maybe too easy, to find a group to do any activity. You just come up with the idea and a gang of fellow bored students would sammel itself and join. Would it be a group of footbal fanatics who would shout and curse in the stadiums, swimers to go to the pool, players for a football match ( even that wasn't hard back then, 20+ people to play a 3 hours or more match), music fests and cinemas were even easier.
Now
I'm struggling to find climbing buddies in Tunis, the same but not same city. I already gave up on football because it takes a lot of friends to organise a match. Now I'm trying to find a Tennis buddy or buddies. Maybe in the next weeks there will be good news about that. Now it's only possible to find companians for one day and others for the next time, nothing regular.
The only thing that is guaranteed to become regular is if I start going to a gym, which is what I might end up doing. Or if I finally bring my bike to Tunis, something I decided to do months ago but every weekend when I go to Zaghouan, where the bike is, something keeps me from bringing it.
I'm sure I'll make a post about biking in Tunis if I ever manage to do it... one day 😁
