Spring fever too soon: February 2 2025

in Actifit8 days ago (edited)

It was a very busy Sunday, but a pleasant one for Minnesota. And I got out on the walking trail for a bit.

The trail is right near a beautiful gardening store. And their parking lot is nqa good place to park. So I grabbed a spot and couldn’t resist going in the store for a bit. It was all decorated for spring!

We are months away from spring weather here, so it’s lovely to see all the bright color in the gardening store.

The trail was busy with walkers and cyclists, as it was unseasonably warm today!

They were mostly clear due to some warm weather lately, but some places are still covered in snow.

Evidently we are getting more snow tonight!

Walking

Sort:

Nice to enjoy a walk on a slightly warmer day.

Shops always jump the gun trying to sell far too early, good to look not to purchase in months of change unless you know the conditions are going to be favourable.

Wishing you a lovely new week, that trail walk looks interesting with trees now in winter.

You are absolutely right, @joanstewart. I only bought silk flowers!

Wonderful to hear from you. I am trying to be more active on Hive again. My busy life keeps me hopping. All the best to you!

Life takes turns, path changes, good to see you back on Hive.

I wish we had snow.
I doubt I'd be able to function in it as I'm weak to cold but just for the aesthetics I want to see, feel and know snow😭😂😂😂

Imagine 2-4 inches!!!

You get used to it if you live in a place where it snows. Your blood actually changes. Yes, it's wonderful when we get 2-4 inches. Those are the best snow falls!

19° and 4 inches of snow on the ground here winter has arrived Lol!😇🥶

Hooray! At last! It's so funny. I really think we would all be happy if Christmas was a month later, and we didn't start expecting winter before the end of the year. And then we wouldn't be sick of it by the time March comes around. Here, we're likely to get our biggest snow storms in February and March... and sometimes April.

April is late for the Northwest, but February, and March can definitely be snowy up here!
No one was really ready for this storm, it has been in the mid 40’s all winter..🙄
