Hello everyone,
yesterday afternoon I just got on my bike and set off. All by myself...without a child or husband. And I have to say, it was really fun to ride at my own pace. I can't remember the last time I rode my bike on my own.
After riding for quite a while, I made my first short stop and took in the natural surroundings.
Oh yes, and as you know, I'm of course riding very old school... on a city bike without any electric drive. The bike basket doesn't look very sporty, of course, but I would have to cut the cable ties to take it off - so it stayed on ;)

gestern Nachmittag habe ich mich einfach mal auf das Fahrrad geschwungen und bin losgefahren. Ganz alleine...ohne Kind oder Mann. Und ich muss sagen, es hat richtig Spaß gemacht in meinem eigenen Tempo zu fahren. Ich weiß gar nicht, wann ich das letzte Mal alleine mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs war.
Nachdem ich schon eine ganze Weile gefahren bin, habe ich einen ersten kurzen Stop eingelegt und die Natur ein wenig auf mich wirken lassen.
Ach ja, und wie Ihr sehr, bin ich natürlich ganz Old School unterwegs...mit einem Citybike ganz ohne elektrischen Antrieb. Der Fahrradkorb wirkt natürlich nicht sehr sportlich, aber ich müsste extra die Kabelbinder durchtrennen, um ihn abzunehmen - also blieb er dran ;)
After taking a few snapshots with my cell phone, I got back on my bike and continued through the park.
Nachdem ich ein paar Schnappschüsse mit dem Handy gemacht habe, ging es dann auch schon wieder aufs Bike und weiter durch den Park.
My next stop was at a duck pond.
Den nächsten Stopp habe ich dann an einem Ententeich gemacht.
It was quite warm, so I chose this “cozy” bench to take a drink break.
Es war ziemlich warm, also habe ich mir diese "gemütliche" Bank ausgesucht, um eine Trinkpause einzulegen.
I watched the ducks and birds on the pond covered in water lilies. For the first time in weeks, I felt a pleasant inner peace. You should just go out into nature more often when you're stressed. But somehow that's exactly what you don't do.
Dabei habe ich die Enten und Vögel auf dem von Seerosen bedeckten Teich beobachtet. Dabei habe ich das erste Mal seit Wochen eine angenehme innere Ruhe verspürt. Man sollte öfters einfach mal in die Natur gehen, wenn man gestresst ist. Aber genau das macht man dann irgendwie nicht.
An older couple, who kept me company on “my” bench for a while, told me about turtles that were probably nesting on the lake. Unfortunately, I couldn't spot them that day. I was actually enjoying being “alone” that day and it was another typical situation. There was a free bench 100m to my left and 100m to my right. And which bench does the older couple head for? The one I was sitting on, of course ;)
After the short chat, I got back on my bike and rode for a while before heading home.
Ein älteres Pärchen, welches mir zeitweise Gesellschaft auf "meiner" Bank leistete, berichtete mir von Schildkröten, die auf dem See wohl nisteten. Leider konnte ich sie an diesem Tag nicht entdecken. Eigentlich habe ich an diesem Tag ja mal das "Alleinsein" genossen und es war wieder so eine typische Situation. 100m links von mir war eine freie Bank und 100m rechts von mir auch. Und welche Bank steuert das ältere Pärchen an? Natürlich die, auf der ich sitze ;)
Nach dem kurzen Pläuschchen schwang ich mich wieder auf das Fahrrad und fuhr noch eine Weile, bevor ich den Heimweg antrat.

Thank you. It's just a typical mom bike. Most people here now only ride around on e-bikes, but as long as we're still riding with our son, it doesn't make sense for us.

I think the bike basket looks cute. It's cool to leave it on. Great that there's a nice park near you. The closest nature I got is my container garden. :P Thank you for sharing your 'alone' adventure. Happy midweek!
