The world-famous USA Route 66 is inspiring. And I would love to drive it. But for now, I'm settling for the UK Route 66. Not the motorway. But, a cycleway running across Northern England from Hull to Manchester.
This part of it runs mostly along the long-abandoned Bradford Canal route.
I've only ever walked about 3 miles on this path. But I like it because it's very close to home. But it is very peaceful considering how close to the main road it is. And very handy for the local Aldi and Lidl.
It's also very useful as a starting point for me to wander to a pub.

I lived on Route 66 once in Victorville, California. Had a fabrication shop of 66 once as well back in 2007. As many Route 66 stickers and mentions I've seen around the world, it's still just 7th street to me. = }
That's great! Now, every time I walk it, I'll be thinking, "7th street" (and California sunshine 🌞😀)
