My Actifit Report Card: October 31 2021

What and absolutely fantastic fabulous day it was today! Our cycling adventure to Putrajaya Botanical was awesome! I didn't realise that the parks in Putrajaya were so nice and conducive for outdoor activities in general.

We decided to try Putrajaya Botanical Park for our first foray into cycling somewhere else other than around our housing area. The kids and I are now stronger after the one month or so of constantly practising every night, we were just so excited to go somewhere different. Yes, I think that theme of my posts are going to all the little adventures that we go for from now on. I am just so glad that the restrictions are easing and the kids can go back to school on Monday.

Waiting for breakfast to arrive

We woke up bright and early, quickly got ourselves ready and headed out for breakfast. Yup, it was the Malaysian staple of roti canai and teh tarik! LOL! It just seemed right...lots of carbos for a full day of cycling!

Then we were off! We arrived around 9 am and the carpark was already full of people! We got to work unloading the bicycles and fixing them up. We had to remove the front wheels of the adult bicycles as it didn't quite fit in the back of hubby's truck. The kids bicycles were ok as they could go in directly into the back of my car.

Once the bicycles were ready, we rode around for a while looking for the entrance and discovered that you have to use the Astaka Morocco entrance if you are on a bicycle. The weather was just absolutely perfect! A little bit of sun and a lot of cool winds! PERFECT!

Some friends joined us and the kids really had a ball of a time. They ran around, explored all the different trees and plants, went to the high viewing tower, cycled, ran in the rain and played rolling down the hills! Today was the first time that they were able to be just be kids.

Rolling down the hill! So fun!

Hubby and I 🥰

We finished around 1 pm and headed over to eat some lunch. We parents had a chance to chat a little and finally around 3 pm we were all pretty much done for the day. Yes, tired! Very very tired. The kids were of course running on adrenaline and fruit juice but it was just a matter of time before they would crash. And crash they did the minuted we go into the car and started driving. We got home and promptly slept for a couple of hours. For me, it was one of the most satisfying afternoon nap that I have had in a long time.

So the weekend is over and we have a lot to prep for tomorrow! The kids are back at school and I have to make sure that my Tranq bags are packed for the main net launch tomorrow!

Thanks for dropping by my little space and I hope that you had a wonderful weekend too!

Xoxo,
Khim
