Today was practically a vacation from writing compared to the past few days, but I still got enough writing done to stay on track for my Year of a Million Words and I feel pretty good about things.
Alter Data, the game that I’m working on, is coming along nicely, and not having daily games meant that I could focus on getting other stuff done, like writing a status update for @loreshapergames.
I think it’s interesting, and the fact that I’m doing the layout for the fancy PDF format in powerpoint means that I’m going for a much more sleek and modern approach. I’m not sure if players will appreciate the layout, but I think it’ll be interesting if nothing else. And it’s certainly not so bad that I don’t want to publish it, it’s just going to be an interesting take on things.
Then Midjourney came out with an update to their model. I’d found the old models to be fairly reliable, but this new one has the quality of some of the more coherent/realistic models while still keeping the image quality of Midjourney, which has a lot more of an artistic/stylized method without requiring a lot of prompting. I also think it generates more interesting compositions than, say, Stable Diffusion, which also had a release today.
This has been interesting in the sense that it provides a lot of distractions. Fortunately, I’m about to use up my fast Midjourney time for the month, which means that it will at least not be as much of a distraction tomorrow.
Feeling quite good. Stomach is concerning in some ways, but until it actually becomes a problem I won’t worry about it.
God is good, life is good.
