Anyone who's ever bummed round Thailand will know this place.
This is Mo Chit 2 bus station with thousands of buses daily to all corners of the kingdom. Im here cos I'm heading back South to Samui for the week and the wife is working and after last month's small argument with a lorry, which I lost, doesn't trust to me to get down in one piece alone, either by car or bike! Ill humour her this week ;-)
I'm actually happy as there is one huge advantage to letting someone else take the wheel tonight, and that is that Leeds v Cardiff in the cup is on live, and providing the mobile signal holds up through the remote parts, that's going to be a peaceful watch without interruption.
It has been a while though since I did this run and normally the VIP bus with only 24 seats was always available without advance booking, it wasn't today so I'm on the 1st class with 4 abreast but the legroom isn't bad and with 5 mins to departure, it's only half full...obviously everyone else is on the bloody VIP bus!
We leave at 6.15pm and get to the ferry at Donsak about 7am with just a single stop for food which is included in the price. Happily, the TV seems to be not working so no terrible Thai film to sit through and they supply blankets, just like an aircraft because as always, the Aircon on these buses can easily give you frostbite! My hoodie and the blanket combined will just about save me from hypothermia despite, as a 56 year old bloke wearing a hoodie, I look like a complete knob!
That's it. Power banks are at the ready and I m happily sat well away from the toilet at the back which means I won't have the stench of stale piss to accompany me for the journey. That's my top Thai travel tip for the day.
I hope everyone has had a great weekend and send best wishes for the week ahead, as well as offering fair warning that tomorrow's post will contain more boring 'sunrise on the boat photos'!

Bloody lucky to still be in the Cup!
Lol...I'm still sat on this bus 12 hours after I posted that post but yup, it was rather a fraught couple of hours and managed to wake the whole bus up when that goal went in! Perhaps the cup has our name on it this year :-)
lol there were a few shocks and that is the beauty of the FA cup.
hehe stranger things have happened, so you never know. Goodluck to you⚽
