My Actifit Report Card: February 15 2023

in Actifit2 years ago (edited)

I played a couple of rounds of disc golf today. I met my friend this morning and we played the Red course off the Green tee pads. It is the same course and pads we will play on this Sunday in the tournament.

I managed to get a +1 to my friend's +7.

It was kind of snowy out on the disc golf course today:

Luckily it was not deep enough to hide the discs. It was a bit crusty and the discs tended to skip a bit or land on top of the snow.

Hole one on the Blue course:

This has been a bit of a troublemaker hole for me. There is out-of-bounds on both sides - a road on the left and a path on the right. The basket is around four hundred feet downhill and over the top of the rise you see in front.

Hitting the gap is difficult and a tree kick can go a long way. Even a fairway or midrange disc gains a lot of speed throwing downhill. This is where I lost my fairway disc a few days ago. It made it past the rise but hyzered out into a bunch of ferns just to the right of the top of the rise. (On a right-hand forehand throw.)

Today I managed to make par using a putter disc off the tee. It cleared the top of the hill and managed to stay straight enough to get mostly down the other side.

I looked a bit for the disc I lost a few days ago but could not find it. While I was looking a player came through and I suggested we play together. It always helps to have someone else spot where throws go when you are playing in the woods.

We enjoyed playing together and he ended up beating me by one throw. I played better on the course than I usually do so I was happy.

I think I will rest up tomorrow, I hope I am still ambulatory, lol.

Today's game was developed by my friend @lightsplasher in an extraordinary setting, the place you show is very beautiful, where he played a couple of rounds of disc golf with his friend this morning, in such a beautiful place. As always, wishing you success from Venezuela. Thank you for your visits to my publications.

Thank you and wishing you success in Venezuela as well. It is always beautiful to be outside in the woods around here. Each day is a different look and adds complexity to the game of disc golf.

This is how it is dear @lightsplasher to develop your disc game in such beautiful places, they are a magnet for the day of the game to be better and more enjoyable. successes. Thank you for visiting my yoga post, I would be grateful if your friends at Hive would also visit me. successes friend

Nice, you met your friend again.

Red pads playing under the green pads looking cool and beautiful.

One thing more there was not enough snow unlike in snow discs hide under the snow

Very nice greenery under the blue sky.

Stay blessed

The camera is better at picking up the blue sky under different lighting conditions. I'm impressed at how the technology has improved. The weather today was a bit cold but it was nice to play with a bit of sunlight. If the clouds and rain come back it will probably warm up a bit.

wow, the scenery in your area is hopefully very good and beautiful. I really like seeing the photos that you show

Thank you. I enjoy taking the photos and sharing what it looks like each day.

It looks like you've done more rounds today than usual, a good rest will do. I was looking at the photos and realized how difficult it is to throw discs through those gaps between the trees. No wonder you'll be lost your disc if nobody is watching it.

The surroundings feel serene. And it's interesting to see how the snow and grass meet like it's two different seasons at the same time :)

It is a much different game when it is played in heavily wooded areas. Usually the distances are shorter with tight tree lines to throw through but this course is particularly difficult with some longer holes. It is very serene in the woods and not many players are using the course.

That is why nature never betrays. The colour of surrounding is more sounding and naturally fill.

Natural surrounding make me feel so nicely. I enjoy being out there and exercising.

It is clear that the environment during your game was very beautiful and the nature also looks amazing.

Having some snow around was fun for a change. I'm glad that is was not too deep though.

it looks like you are doing some practice on that course to prepare for the tournament on the coming Sunday, I'm sure you will get good results if there are no obstacles with the wind, in your first photo I thought it was a road but after I noticed it was snow and so much snow, will it continue to grow tomorrow?

There is a path on the right side of the first photo that the golf carts can run on. We rarely rent the golf carts but it is fun sometimes. You can't use golf carts on the Blue course. I don't think we will get much more snow, it is not cold enough. It is supposed to start raining again so hopefully the course will be clear by Sunday. It is not bad if it isn't though because the snow is not too deep.

have fun playing golf and you managed to score very well playing with your friends, and the view of the golf course is very beautiful especially when there is snow falling it looks very cool.

It is always nice to be out on the course and playing with friends.

It is great to meet your friend and play golf.Hope you enjoy a wonderful day.

Some amazing pictures brother.

It sure was a wonderful day, thank you.

Good thing you weren't playing golf as a ball looks like it would be lost in the sauce!

I'm not sure how you could play ball golf on the blue course. The red and gold courses used to be ball golf courses and some of the old tee pads are still around if you look carefully. I think it was a nice ball golf course back in the day but apparently there were not enough customers to keep it going or something. There is another nice ball golf course nearby that closed recently. Nobody has talked about converting it to disc golf but that might be fun. It has some houses nearby though and I hate it when you lose a disc in someone's yard and aren't supposed to bother them.
