My Actifit Report Card: March 29 2023

in Actifit2 years ago

I did some shopping and gardening today. The outside planters are fixed up with some onions, radishes, and orchra. Hopefully, the snails will not eat them all.

I dropped out of one disc golf tournament, mostly because of my arm injury and how far I need to drive to get there. I was also distrubed by the fact that a dress code is required for it. I'm not sure if I feel like tucking in my shirt, and what if I want to wear my Jimmy Hendricks tee shirt? I'm done working for "the man," and I don't feel like toeing the line just for a small chance at earning scrip.

I paid out $425 to the dentist today for a cleaning and checkup. They recommend another $800 for starting some type of mouthwash stuff. Plus, they want $20 a month just to keep resupplying it. You can't buy it anywhere else except the dentist, and if you pay with a credit card, they charge you 5% extra. LOL. Makes me want to forget all about dental, but they do provide good service, and it is nice to eat food with your teeth instead of grinding things up in a blender. The mouthwash at that price is not going to happen, though.

I'm feeling a little disturbed this evening. Mostly from the latest school shooting. Sorry to be a bit crabby.

Tonight's dinner:

Gardening is my favorite. This is good job to do gardening. This food looks delicious and healthy

It does seem a bit odd for a dress code where you stand every likelyhood of getting muddy at one point or another. I don't blame you!

Nice job on the garden. I know how you feel about the snails, but for me, it's slugs! They can destroy so quickly what we labor over! I hope they leave your garden alone as well.

So sad about the school and so unnecessary.

Your dinner looks nice and healthy, and I am sure after a good night's sleep, you'll feel better in the morning. Take care @lightsplasher!

Besides disc golf I think you are a good farmer as you mentioned above gardening facts. Nice dinner with meat and brocolli and if you know brocolli is anti carcinogenic

Farming is something noble to us.It is something very special when one has near a good farm land.

The $800 mouthwash is insane! I've never heard of anything like that before, and I wouldn't spend that much for mouthwash even if I have the money.

That dish looks yummy and healthy too.

Well, technically they didn't call it mouthwash but to my untrained eye (or mouth, lol) that seemed to be what it was.

A dress code? That sounds a bit weird. Too bad everybody didn't drop out because of it so they wouldn't attempt that anymore. Is that the first time you have heard of such a thing?... or is that the norm for certain places?

It's hard not to be disturbed about the shootings. Such a shame.

Dental things are a little crazy in price. I have insurance at this time that helps a little. I went to one dentist one time that would file the insurance, but on some things, they then charged extra because the insurances didn't pay them enough. ha....I really liked the dentist and staff, but found at that time I really couldn't afford them and I then referred to them as the "rich people's" dentist. Affectionately though and not to their face.:)

I had a dentist do some work a couple years ago, a root canal with cap. Something underneath seemed to not want to heal, so after a couple of months I went back to let them look at it. They scrapped all around and seemed to think it was fine. They gave me a bottle of special mouthwash that was supposed to help. I used it and used it, but it didn't help anything. I then started swishing warm, heavily salted water around a few times day and night and of all things, it healed right up !

That looks like a mighty fine dinner.

I think the PDGA is trying to make disc golf a "legitimate" sport, lol. They put in the dress code back in December but I don't think most amateur tournaments were enforcing it until I registered for this one. Actually, I really should be resting my arm at least until the point where I can stand sleeping on my right side again so not playing in so many tournaments is good.

Dental prices are all over the place. My dentist does quality work but without insurance, it has become pricy for me. Some of the mouthwash they prescribed did not work out so well and turned my tongue black without doing much else. I stopped taking that because it seemed like it might cause some serious issues. What I'm doing now with the Waterpik and more gentle mouthwash seems to be improving things.

I don't think I'm going to try some $800 dollar treatment with unknown results. Once you start down the path of spending that much sometimes you feel like sticking with it for longer than perhaps you should. A lot of things give me allergic reactions when I first try them, like the athletic tape that I tried on my shoulder.

wow. it looks very delicious the food in your post today

It was good to start with gardening. The price of dentist I think it ways expensive than in my country, but teeth is very important, I can't think of other way to deal with my teeth problem rather than going to the dentist. Dental insurance I always heard about it in my areas.

even though you passed a tournament today I'm sure it's for the sake of accelerating the growth of your arms, and in your area to do checks and some dental medicine is even more expensive than in my area maybe also the quality at your place is guaranteed to be good,

your dinner is noodles, meat and vegetables? it looks so delicious

Brother @lightsplasher it is expensive to go to a dentist there, I could never do that job, here in Venezuela one does not earn more than 50 dollars a month. I hope your arm improves a lot and starts playing your favorite disc game. That is correct, its food is observed to be very good. I wish you success from Venezuela.

Oh! I also prefer broccoli to all other vegetables.
It looks very appetizing.
Have a nice weekend :-)

Great to spend time on shopping, hope now little bit your arm feel better, looking so healthy dinner, brother.

the price of dental goods is really quite crazy... wow...the food looks very delicious I really like food like that...

I was upset about yet another school shooting. I cannot imagine being a child today and having to go to school. How distressing can that be for them?

A dress code for disc golf is what I expect for the tournaments. Even gold courses have them. Most upscale courses require collared shirts and have a no-denim rule. It has been that way since I was a kid. Do you have to tuck your shirt in?

Yikes. That is a little strict.

I am not sure why he wants you to use mouthwash, but, there are many good alternatives, depending on the reason.

Dinner looks delicious. I had stir fry with broccoli tonight. Yummy!
