My Actifit Report Card: April 11 2023

in Actifit2 years ago

I did some walking this afternoon and worked in the backyard. The rain had stopped, and the sun came out. It was a nice time to work in the yard, but it was a bit muddy by the blackberry hedges.

I took out a really large old blackberry root with a shovel. I felt kind of bad about removing such an old bush that had provided lots of good berries. It was close to the fence, and I've been on a bit of a rampage to cut back the blackberries after finded some damage that the rats had done in the crawlspace.

I looked really carefully under the porch to see if there were any rat tunnels, but I could not find any. It is possible that I fixed the problem the last time I put a new layer of concrete by the crawlspace entrance. Perhaps the damage to the insulation in the crawlspace was done the last time they were in there, and no recent damage was done.

At this point, I am thinking that I'm just going to try to get out all the deadwood from the hedge and not try to remove any more of the older bushes. If I can keep things cleared out, it will be a lot easier to harvest the berries, and leaving more of the berry bushes will control the water flow better. I'm not sure what will grow well in the wet conditions besides the blackberries.

I still might still be able to put in a tree or two if I keep the blackberries trimmed back.

Rats are no fun, that's for sure! A weeping willow tree loves wet areas but be aware that roots could grow where you don't want them, or if that could be an issue for you.

Nice job with your 8672 @actifit steps for the day. Take care and have a lovely rest of the week!

Yum... a delicious breakfast my friend!!😄
Spring planting, I have 50 Austrian pine trees coming!!
Soon I will be back outside planting, hopefully on a less rainy day!😇

I also I want to eat eggs and easy food seems very delicious

Corn fritter?

I never take the time to cook anything for my breakfast, I'm always grabbing something fast. The truth of me is that I am never hungry in the mornings and it is morning here as I type, but that does look good.

I love blackberries. I can understand why it was hard to take out the old root. Still, if it makes a problem or your home, what choice do you have? Hopefully what you have done before will keep your crawlspace safe going forward.

such a tiring day for you today, you took advantage of the time after the rain to clean up some tree branches there, it's true that if there is a lot of dead wood there will of course be an easy place for mice to hide, do the rats there eat blackberries? or just eat a few tree trunks the fruit will not grow optimally

Fried eggs in the morning are such delicious food

It's colorful and healthy, yum! I see 2 of my fave on that plate, omelet and cherry tomatoes :)

In fact everyone likes to be clean and with that I am always inspired by the little things you do to keep your body in good shape and I read the information you share carefully. I sincerely thank you for doing so

Hope you a great day, amazing delicious food.

Being a farmer also I understand how rats damages the orchid and make rat tunnels .

Nice yard work removing bushes and dead woods keep it up.
