I think it does help to have a few scores that are lower than usual. When I compare them to what I could do when I was first playing it is still much better. It makes the better scoring rounds all the more appreciated too.
It is an African Violet. There are such a variety of different colors. They seem to have gotten over the infestation of whatever bugs were bothering them.
If they are small white bugs, they may be aphids. Is it outside? Another common one is mealybugs. Mealybugs are about ¼ inch in length. They have soft bodies and are covered with a white waxy material that makes them look cottony.
I am fighting aphids on my petunias right now. I have never had them and now they are in every pot on my porch. Boo. I am giving them the dish soap washdown.
