There's always a time for everything; a time to work hard, a time to rest, and a time to eat too!
Nasi Lemak for a minimum of $1.40 USD, with drink included! And this time @lifeisajourney has graciously introduced her hidden gem "niche cafeteria" where you can get a simple Malaysian National Dish -
With minimalist interior and furnitures, it does serve as a quiet spot for lunches and spacious enough for even big families to gather and eat together.
Food prices ranged from around $1.10 - $3.40 USD meals, and they comprises majority the Malaysian stable food, but for those who wanted to cut the carbs and just go for the meat, there's the fragrant fried chicken set available for anyone to enjoy.
In the urban city, getting fresh coconut is not easy and not always cheap especially in fancy-smancy air conditioning spaces, but so far a basic coconut here still cost a little less than $1 USD . Which is a pretty good deal. Even road sides coconut cost a little over $1 now.
I didn't feel like having the Nasi Lemak (on the left) so I opt for my next favourite fruity dish, the Malaysian Salad - Rojak where its "dressing" is made out of sweet and spicy shrimp paste and sprinkle roasted sesame and ground roasted peanuts.
Very refreshing paring with freshly cut sweet, sour, crunchy fruits!
Would you like to dine in this sort of brightly lit open space for lunches?
