It has been a week since the (unfortunate mishap) horror and trauma happened, after committing to the authorities, faced with reality of my biggest mistake (fallen into a scam trap), the next few days have been unexplained peace, surrender and steadiness tackling more and more troubles at workplace.
God's Shalom (peace and blessing) has never left me a bit.
From the Christmas miracle where a MYR100 one-time "UBI" was distributed earlier in the week, help and support from #hive community, to a surprised invitation Christmas Lunch for the Evergreen ministry my parents been attending, countless grace has been extended to my heart, reassuring nothing is the end.
Today, I get to bring my parents to attend the annual celebration under sponsored ticket.
Every dance presented by the praise dance team was just so happened to amplify God's love, mercy, goodness and HIS ability to take care HIS people who abide in HIM.
Joyful inter generation celebration dance reminded me that there's more important things to focus on: the appreciation of the seniors and the blessings and guide towards the next generation, really amplified the Christmas joy and unity.
Then, the scrumptious food takes on the limelight and delighted every hungry attendee at the event. Look at these mini stuffed crabs they were super yummy!
I am sure not many have tried jellyfish sweet sour salad, which is a signature dish of this restaurant.
Fake "sharks fin" (I think it was made by konjac or something similar) crab and finely diced vegetables scramble eggs have been a traditional "cold dish" for almost every Chinese community banquet in Malaysia. Not many restaurants know how to make this with light and fluffy feel anymore. Fortunately, this catering service still cooked it very well.
Vegetables is a must in every banquet, especially brocoli and mushroom vegetarian dish. To the Chinese speaking community, because brocoli is not able to be grown in Malaysia and it has to be imported, it is always presented as one of a luxurious dishes.
But how can a banquet end without a dessert?
This soy milk grass jelly (cincau) iced dessert sweeten all the attendees with its cool and not aggressively sweet concoction.
And it ended everyone with smiles: some even went home with "lucky draw" gifts
To me and my parents. The meal itself is already more than enough provision and worth every Thanksgiving.
