Before and after DIY cut, digitised using Voila

Gratitude birthday Month continues; and this round? I am attempting to do my own hair cut.

Due to the fact to maintain my hair at a salon regardless of lengt, it can cost as much as almost $100 USD.

Though this should be my annual appointment, however for this round, my budget is too tight.

Getting parents' hospital needs met is the priority now. Just with the gas (petrol) and toll expenses and medicine replenishment (sometimes hospital doesn't have it and asked us to get through the counter) is already costing an arm and a leg.

Even with constantly tying up in a bunch, hair health us equally important, that includes trimming.

Good thing that because of lockdown, being the only person with better vision and mobility at home, I had been a bit more confident with the clippers while trimming my elderlies' hair.

But first straighten then attempt to follow the instructions and cut it off can still be nerve wrecking. I try my very best not to be ambitious and trim off the ends with this still first.

In the end, chopping off around 2 inches still ave my head quite a relief.it felt a pound lighter.

Here is the tutorial I followed. I did a "conservative" cut using the 3rd person's try.

First 2 was really short and I prefer maintaining the length at the bottom with slight trim.

I actually like that last attempt because she's a hairdresser as well.

It is a blessing in disguise because of the lockdown prior, these well established hair stylists decided to be influencer tutors to make life easier for many.

Something worth being grateful of indeed.
