Heya Hiva シ
Ready or not, here I come..
-> from moving another step closer to a more even tan.
Adventure afoot!
Cape Town, South Africa was blessed this day with the most beautiful warm sunshine.. perfect to try and even out my rather imperfect tan. Having worn a single rubber glove and cap on most of my recent outings, my left hand is now borderline neon white - with the right evidently on the path to a light bronze tone. My focus has thus been to try and even things out by donning the protective gear on the alternate appendage. It also didn't do any harm leaving the cap behind, in order to attain some colour to my face.

With my personal well being now taken care of, it was time to cleanup the local environment. The focus was once again the local wetlands/bush area in the Peers cave region.
The first piece of trash collected was a plastic softdrink bottle, located near the entrance to one of the smaller paths - indicating its continued usage by one or more others.

Next up was what I think may have been a jacket of sorts. Being so filthy, I didn't exactly play around with it.. with bagging it being the obvious priority. Still, the zipper seemed to be in line with my assumption.

A lone brightly coloured sock, worthy of the bin.

Then there was a small debris field, with some bits & pieces. Nothing too exciting, though once cleaned up.. that particular part of the environment looked much better!

This garment was really dirty. Pleased to have removed it from the fragile ecosystem.

Yet another plastic bottle.. this one being found below some dry wild grass.

I had to stretch my arm as far as possible to reach this plastic bread bag. By that stage, I was really feeling the sunshine - whilst at the same time craving something cool to drink. Nonetheless.. I chose to push onward.

That small strip of paper seemed to have a tv schedule on it. Hmm.. haven't read a printed guide in years.

Not exactly sure what this is. I'm guessing some sort of plastic funnel maybe. Kinda looks 'homemade', though.

This empty corn snack packet was filled with water, which I had to first pour out before bagging.

The last recovery for the day was a glass debris field. Managed to retrieve quite a few hazardous fragments.

Happy to report that the nearest municipal bins were emptied, so I was able to dispose of the day's trash in one of them. Certainly another very successful day.. with my 'glow' slowly progressing in the right direction. Slow n' steady as they say.
Till next time,
