Heya Hiva シ
Ready or not, here I come…
-> from retrieving that which is dirty, but meant to clean. So let's 'brush up' on the day's details.
Adventure afoot!
Today was a tough one.. not in terms of picking up litter - which remains challenging at the best of times, but rather with regards to my mindset.
I guess a lot of it has to do with me needing to catch up on some much needed sleep (which I hope to very soon).. but I'm feeling more stressed than usual (which says a lot!).
Usually when I feel 'off', I find solace in being alone. It gives me time to think more clearly.. to focus on what matters most. And what matters most, requires more of my attention. Look at that.. my cleanup walk did me some good - with helping me to find the answer I sought.

So I started off with a picking up an old dirty pair of pants.

Then a refuse bag caught up in some native flora.

This glass jar was rather concealed (as you can see from the first photo). It had a dark sticky looking liquid inside. This isn't the first time I've seen this sorta thing either.. wonder what it is though?

I found the empty hand soap and toothpaste rather ironic.. seeing that both are meant to clean, but now require retrieval - the cleanliness of its surroundings in question.

Really don't know what this is.. some sort of plastic grate maybe? It was curious, how the vegetation resting on it.. was somehow now naturally fused. I guess an indication of it being out there, for a very long time.

Cleanup..
After..
Quite a debris field here. Due to the nature of the items (relating to food).. I proceeded with caution (so unwanted bacteria would have difficulty hitching a ride).

Cleanup..

I'm thinking that this large plastic tray may have contained something sweet at some point. Perhaps muffins? ..or little tartlets maybe?
Before..
Cleanup..
After..
A plastic water bottle.. nothing more to say about that.
Before..
Cleanup..
After..
A couple more plastic bottles - lids not too far off.
Before..
Cleanup..
After..
Stoked to have removed this glass bottle neck, being potentially hazardous.

Cleanup..

The final piece was nothing more than some very well concealed plastic. Being transparent made it harder to spot against the foliage - which lay in front of its resting spot.

All the dirty stuff was safely discarded of, in one of the local municipal bins. Due to the size of the load, I had to first compress the existing rubbish - so as to make more room for the new additions. Another job well done!
Till next time,
