Zoo day!
There was a members only event at the zoo, and my sister has a membership. The kids have been looking forward to it all week!
So of course there is a collision between my daughter and her cousin as soon as we get there and she spends the first fifteen minutes at the first aid station. Then with her knee all bandaged up, she wanted to ride in the wagon the whole time, so the twins had to either walk or be carried. One at a time could sit in their cousin's stroller, but only when he feels up to walking instead. And that was just the start of it. . .
We still had a good outing, but definitely nothing went quite as planned.

It's pretty gnarly, but she's going to be okay. The worst of it is that she wouldn't let them clean it at first aid, so after trying a good while to talk her into it, they finally just put ointment on a big bandage and slapped it over the whole bloody mess. She soaked it off in the tub that night and I picked out little rock bits with tweezers before applying a fresh bandage with ointment.
She says she enjoyed the zoo even though she hurt her knee.
Ohh my...... Been there done that with our kids, it's a good thing they are young and tough!😇
