Back on track. Today was harder than expected, but I got back on track for the most part. I did a late evening walk after dinner to make sure I hit my step goal. However, I was a little over the calorie goal I set yesterday. I didnt do a good job of planning myeals and got a little carriwd away at lunch. That's OK for now. At least I built momentum which I can take into tomorrow.
Dinner was pretty healthy though. We made lemon pepper pasta. I sautéd the chicken in butter after tenderizing and seasoning them. They came out pretty good, tender and tasty. The one above was almost in the shape of a heart. My wife made some pasta and the creamy lemon sauce to go with it. It only had a small amount of each and a decent portion of the chicken.
I'm finishing with over 11000 steps tonight. I'm happy with that, but I'm also happy to get back to a respectful amount of active minutes. 21 active minutes plus 21 flights of stairs. That's pretty good especially after a bad day yesterday.
I had 1800 calories which is more than I wanted but still at a decent deficit. I can roll with that for a bit. Yesterday's goal was a little bit aggressive for a weekend.
Continuing with the theme: Each night I post the song that was playing as I ended the workout and use that as the title for the post for that day. Today's song was Can't Deny It by Fabolous and Nate Dog. This is just a fun song to listen to. It's mostly hook to be honest though. It's a good hook though, I cant deny it 🤣.
Well, I've got to get some sleep. My goals for tomorrow are 1800 calories and only 7000 steps. I want to myself some grace to rest if I need it.
Catch y'all tomorrow.
