Actually, there are many consequences that can occur if we continue to litter. As a result, it can often even take the human life itself. Garbage that is allowed to accumulate continuously can interfere with our eyes and nose because in addition to the unpleasant smell, it also disturbs the view.

In addition, the accumulated garbage can also cause germs, especially if the garbage is close to the place of sale, there will be a lot of flies that land on the food being sold so that it will make people who buy the food experience stomachaches. Especially when it rains heavily, the garbage that accumulates in the ditch will clog the waterways and eventually floods occur and when there is a big flood, many people will lose their property and even their lives.

water pollution :

The attitude of not taking care of the environment can also pollute the water. When rain falls on polluted soil, rainwater carries the pollution into the aquifer rock (rocks that store groundwater). Causing ground water to be polluted so it is dangerous for human consumption. Littering litter also causes rivers and seas to be filled with garbage. Polluted river water is not harmful to plants, animals, and also humans who consume it.

Flood :

Disposing of garbage indiscriminately can cause flooding. Adapted from Flood Control Asia, the rain washes the garbage into the drainage system. The garbage will then accumulate and clog the channel. When it rains, water cannot flow because of clogged drainage. So that the water overflows, spills onto the road, and causes flooding. The more garbage in the watercourse, the greater the potential for flooding even when it rains a little.

Animal death :

Most of human waste ends up in the sea and pollutes it. Around 5.25 trillion plastic waste is in the ocean and kills 100 million marine animals every year. The bad things above are examples of the impact of the lack of public awareness in protecting the environment. So, from now on we must protect the environment for the survival of our planet.
