I’ve been running a 5Km four times a week for a while and I’ve been improving my time every week until I finally met my goal of doing it in under 27’30’’.
Now that I’m satisfied with my pace over a short distance I’ve decided to start stretching my running distance every week by adding an extra km every week, while trying not to slow down my usual pace too much. My goal is to do a 10 Km in under one hour until the end of June.
I would have to keep an average pace of 6’00’’ per Km which is quite easy to do over a short distance, now I just need to keep slowly increasing my running distance until I can achieve my goal.
I’m still a little bit to heavy to go for a 10 Km but I will keep working on loosing weight until then. For now I’m happy with my current time (34´08´´) for a 6Km. Hopefully I can do it in 33 minutes by the end of this week.
