I continued the routine today with an early visit to the gym to squeeze in a workout. Today was a weight session for the full body and something felt different. While reps were higher than usual, I was using weights that have been comfortable thus far. However, I found myself struggling to lift to my rep goal. It surpised me as I have been feeling strong but I am wondering if it is something else. Rather than a plateau, could it be due to me being in a cut in my diet this week as I prepare to get off the diet next week?
Could also be some lack of sleep or even the stress given how busy work has been ahead of my time off. I was still good on completing my workout but will likely take a day off tomorrow for an early recovery as I intend to push harder while I am off my diet to help offset the damage to my progress. It could all be in my mind but I want to remain purposeful around my progress. I have gone a long way in a relatively short amount of time which has surprised me.
