I had the worst night this far last night as I could not control the cough which defeated any hope of getting some rest and recovery. In the end, I only got a handful of hours of sleep. However, I did wake up feeling a bit better. I had my coffee to consider my options for the day and decided to take my first meeting since it was early before taking some action. Once I finished, I saw that thr weather was pretty good so I headed outside for a jog.
I did not want to push too much as it was my long run day and my focus was staying in Zone 2 and achieve the time goal despite the challenges around my health. I was surprised on how strong I felt throughout the jog as I had to find routes to extend my run to get to the time I wanted to achieve. The pace was definitely on the low end but I will take given how I am battling this cough. Feeling like I am getting a better step forward this evening so hope I have turned a corner to end the week and current program strong.
