Introduction

I have been living here for a few years, and I could say that the Christmas is quite different here compared to my hometown. Although, I already expected this since I've been assigned to a Japanese working environment for six years. With that, let's start the story during lunch.

Tokyo Station

My Activities

As per usual, I do have work, and this has always been like this since there is no Christmas holiday in Japan. I ate my already prepared lunch before noon. The reason for the early lunch was that I have to get something I accidentally ordered online. I didn't expect that it would go through since the overseas card I used is not commonly used online.

After getting my order, I went back to my house and started working again. After a few hours of working, it looks like there was no other task to do so I decided to do a fitness activity in my nearby gym. With twenty-six minutes of running on treadmill, I took a shower after several minutes of cooldown and prepared to go out for a Korean dinner in a nearby restaurant.

Pork bone soup (Gamjatang)

We were supposed to order Budae JJigae which is also one of my favorite Korean foods, but I got tempted with the picture of the delicious looking pork bone on the menu. It was worth it though since it was so delicious that I told the old lady who was serving us. The old lady had her bright smile and said, "I am glad".

Korean Boiled Pork Wrap (Bossam)

Since were in the Korean restaurant, there should be Soju. When I called the old lady and said "Also, one Chamisul please", I was perplexed as to why she was surprised I ordered an alcohol. After several minutes of eating and talking with my three other friends, the last dish was served. The Bossam we ate was also delicious and it was our first time eating it. Thank you @itz.inno for picking that one! 😆

After having our bountiful and delicious meal, we went out with a full stomach. My friend suggested that we should walk for a few minutes to burn some calories. We agreed and I lead them to longest path to our house. I was deciding to take them to the nearest park and have some night talks, but it was minus one degree Celsius, so I crossed-out the idea. We had a small pit stop in 7-eleven and then finally arrived at home.

Afterword

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas. If you have reached this part, thank you so much for reading! I enjoyed my entire day today, not only I had my early Christmas gift for myself, or the Korean food I had, but I also called my family and friends in my hometown. And lastly, I gotta eat this ice cream as it is starting to melt. That's it! See you next time! 😁
