This morning started with a brisk and short, bone-chilling excercise on my terrace, greeted by gray skies and a gusty wind, a typical, uninspiring backdrop. Despite the dreary weather, I braved the cold and headed to the last show of the week, some kind of science conference. The event wasn’t thrilling, but I had a few intriguing conversations about cutting-edge gear and software upgrades. Chatting with fellow colleagues had a way of sparking curiosity, even on days like this. Between conversations and moving through the venue, I hit my step goal, turning what could have been a mundane day into something a little more worthwhile.
