Cold crept in, lingering below five degrees, a damp chill that bit deep. I felt under the weather, a scratchy cough and runny nose tagging along as unwelcome companions. So, I kept my morning walk short, just enough to hit that 5,000-step minimum, the misty fog wrapping the world in a quiet, gray cocoon. Outside was wet, thick with a morning haze, but inside was a haven of rest. Sunday became a day for stillness, a day to slow down, unwind, and let the world move on without me.
