Yesterday was a nice crisp and dry autumn day, but today rain lashed down, the wind howled, and the cold bit deep. My morning started with a hiccup: the bus didn’t show. Still, I managed to arrive at the venue, just minutes after the crew call, with time to spare. While technical troubles popped up and the show’s flow teetered on the edge of disarray, we rolled with the punches. Solving problems is what we do, after all. By the end, everything came together smoothly, leaving the audience none the wiser. When the lights dimmed and the applause faded, I felt a rush of relief. Despite the challenges, the stunning venue, the Axica, nestled next to the iconic Brandenburg Gate, made it all worthwhile. The photo shows a detail view of the Brandenburg Gate’s east side. Its massive stately columns felt like a nice sturdy contrast to this whirlwind day.
