The morning began with a chill that cut through the air like a knife, the kind of cold that stings your cheeks but sharpens your senses. An icy wind howled around me, relentless yet oddly invigorating. Despite the biting weather, the sky was a canvas of clear blue, bathed in brilliant sunlight that softened the day’s edges. I walked an old friend to the train station, his laughter lingering like warm echoes in the frosty air. On the way back, I decided to take a detour, a quiet, late-morning walk along the Spree. The sun danced on the water, its reflection rippling like liquid gold. I paused for a moment of stillness, practicing slow, meditative breaths that seemed to melt the cold away. The warmth of home called me back, but not before the sun gifted me one last moment of quiet joy, giving me that somehow strange motif of that yellow lantern somehow imitating the sun in front of those intricate dark structures of a naked tree, being a gentle reminder that even the harshest winds can carry something beautiful.
