Es tat gut, endlich wieder eine große Runde durch den Volkspark Jungfernheide zu drehen. Mit dem Rad hin und zurück, die Straßen noch still. Die Stadt schläft noch oder feiert in irgendwelchen Kellern. Die Luft war kalt, aber trocken, um die null Grad, genau das richtige Wetter, um den Kopf freizubekommen. Am Teich hielt ich inne, machte ein paar atem- und meditationsübungen, ließ den Blick lange übers ruhige Wasser schweifen. Eine Schwanenfamilie zog gelassen ihre Kreise, zwei Jungschwäne noch mit dem letzten Hauch brauner Federn. Erst elegant im Wasser, dann unbeholfen an Land watschelnd, als müssten sie den festen Boden noch begreifen. Ein Moment der Ruhe, bevor es weiterging. Einatmen, ausatmen, einatmen, ausatmen …
It felt good to finally go for another long ride through Volkspark Jungfernheide. There and back by bike, the streets still quiet. The city was still asleep or partying in some cellar somewhere else. The air was cold but dry, around zero degrees, just the right weather to clear my head. I paused at the pond, did a few breathing and meditation exercises and let my gaze wander over the calm water for a long time. A family of swans circled calmly, two young swans with the last hint of brown feathers. First elegantly in the water, then awkwardly waddling ashore, as if they had yet to grasp the solid ground. A moment of calm before continuing. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out ...
