The cold, dry morning did nothing to inspire, just a dull gray sky stretching over a city still half-asleep. My errands were as unremarkable as the weather, a quick round of grocery shopping for the weekend, followed by tidying up at home. Even stretching, breathing exercises, and meditation felt mechanical, more habit than intention. But even on a day as drab as this, something interesting was waiting to be found. The old BSR garbage loading station at the Spree crossing stood there like a forgotten relic, its weathered bricks whispering old stories. A monument to work, stubbornly standing while the city around it changed. It was a reminder that even in monotony like today, a motif lingers, sometimes in plain sight, waiting for someone to notice.
Der kalte, trockene Morgen machte keine Anstalten, mich zu begeistern, ein grauer Himmel spannte sich über eine Stadt, die noch im Halbschlaf lag. Meine Besorgungen waren so unspektakulär wie das Wetter: ein schneller Einkauf fürs Wochenende, etwas Aufräumen zuhause. Selbst das Dehnen, Atmen und Meditieren liefen nur routiniert ab. Doch selbst an solch einem tristen Tag ließ sich ein Motiv finden. Die Alte BSR-Müllverladestation an der Spreekreuzung stand da wie ein vergessenes Relikt, ihre verwitterten Backsteine flüsterten Geschichten aus alten Zeiten. Ein Denkmal für Arbeit, das sich hartnäckig hielt, während die Stadt um es herum wuchs. Eine Erinnerung daran, dass selbst in der Eintönigkeit eines solchen Tages ein gutes Motiv steckt, man muss es nur sehen wollen.
