The crisp morning air clung to my jacket and I could feel that I wasn't yet 100% back to my best after last week's nasty cold, but I didn't let it take away my joy in the morning. The spring sun started to stretch its golden fingers over the palace gardens, teasing the frost-bitten grass and promising warmth that hadn’t quite arrived. By midday, the magic of ten degrees was finally breached, and the world seemed to exhale. Encounters were plentiful, curious cats, scurrying squirrels, a regal pair of swans, a poised heron, and even a woodpecker, its rhythmic drumming usually hidden in distant treetops. Todays photo was tucked behind my back, sometimes, if you don’t turn around, you miss those pictures entirely.
Die klare Morgenluft klammerte sich an meine Jacke und ich spürte dass ich noch nicht wieder 100%ig in meiner Kraft war nach der fiesen Erkältung letzter Woche, doch ich ließ mir die Freude am Morgen nicht nehmen. Die Frühlingssonne streckte ihre goldenen Finger über den Schlosspark, kitzelte das frostige Gras und versprach Wärme, die noch auf sich warten ließ. Bis zum Mittag war die magische Zehn-Grad-Grenze geknackt, und die Welt schien aufzuatmen. Begegnungen gab es reichlich am Morgen, neugierige Katzen, flinke Eichhörnchen, ein stolzes Schwanenpaar, ein gelassener Reiher und sogar ein Buntspecht, dessen rhythmisches Klopfen sonst nur aus fernen Baumwipfeln hallte. Das heutige Fotomotiv versteckte sich mal wieder hinter meinem Rücken. Manchmal muss man sich einfach umdrehen, sonst verpasst man solche Bilder.
