The morning unfolded in a muted mess, misty drizzle clung to the air like a damp curtain, casting the world in a cold, colorless blur. I didn’t dawdle. Just a quick loop through the palace gardens, past puddles that mirrored the gray sky. No need to pretend it was pleasant. I said a soft “good morning” to the birds, their feathers fluffed against the chill, then ducked into a corner shop to grab a few last-minute bits for the holidays. However, I had to take a longer walk to get my asparagus. Later, back home, warmth welcomed me like a wool blanket. Breathwork and meditation followed, my way of clearing the cobwebs the weather left behind. I didn’t chase productivity or pretend the day needed saving. Sometimes, it’s enough to just show up …
Der Morgen war ein einziger Grauschleier, Sprühregen hing in der Luft wie ein feuchter Vorhang, der alles in farbloses Dämmerlicht tauchte. Ich hielt mich nicht lange auf. Eine kurze Runde durch den Schlosspark, vorbei an Pfützen, die den grauen Himmel widerspiegelten. Den Vögeln sagte ich leise guten Morgen, während sie sich gegen die Kälte aufplusterten. Dann ein Abstecher in den Laden, um ein paar Kleinigkeiten für die Feiertage zu besorgen. Allerdings musste ich einen längeren Gang machen, um meinen Spargel zu bekommen. Zurück zuhause begrüßte mich die Wärme wie eine wollige Decke. Später Atemübungen und Meditation, mein Mittel gegen den Schleier, den das Wetter hinterlassen hatte. Ich versuchte nicht, produktiv zu sein oder dem Tag einen Sinn aufzuzwingen. Manchmal reicht es, einfach da zu sein …
