TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us, I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive in this day and age💯. I thank you all of you for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fast food, I didn't feel like cooking 😜. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia continued bombing civilian areas in Zaporizhzhia. Reports of two deaths😭 and power cuts to the nuclear plant from the damage of the bombing. Meanwhile Ukrainian soldiers still making in roads into some of the Russian held areas.
Elsewhere in Oslo, the Noble peace prize winners named. This year it goes to 1 person and 2 groups, a Belarusian human rights activist, a human rights group in Ukraine and another human rights group in Russia 👋.
Also trending, European leaders meeting in Prague had a hard time agreeing on price cap of gas to ensure all member countries buy at the same price.
Over in Russia, Putin turned 70 today, but who cares😹. He celebrated at a summit of former soviet states in st Petersburg. Am sure his wildest dream is to unite the former USSR 😹.
Trending across the pond in the US. A school district in Uvalde Texas suspended their police force 🙀. This after they delayed entry for more than one hour when 19 students and two teachers were being murdered five months ago.
Finally, bitcoin remaining stable though it fell from 20k to 19.5k. Binance exchange announced a hack on its exchange, but they caught it on time and stopped further loss.
