Happy Saturday or is it CaturdayπΉ. As always missing Bob on this day that kitties rule the blockchainπΏ. Anyways I had just another ordinary day stepping it out.
Not so much stepping in the morning as I slept in, just felt a bit lazy this morning and a little homesickπΉ.
So I had my stretches and then carried out the usual house chores before settling down for some news and trending news on x and you tube.
But it was a bright sunshiny π day all along with a little bit of clouds. Having skipped my morning walk, I got out a bit early for the sunset walk.
I was around the neighborhood then ended up at my favorite corners in the park. Did some exercises on the stationary bike and leg press machine πΉ.
I then made my way home passing by the supermarket for some groceries. So that was my day.
Let's now look at the trending stories that caught my eye π this Saturday.
In the UK, election fever is still high, political ads everywhere on tvπΉ. Thursday is the date.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury festival is ongoing, Cyndi Lauper, Dua Lipa and Cold play are some of the artists.
In London, the pride parade was on cheered by thousands, colourful processions of people in all kinds of outfits from carnival costumes to gym gear on the streets from Hyde park to Trafalgar squareπΉ.
Today also saw pro Palestinian protests in cities around Europe including London, Denmark, Belgium, Germany all asking for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Speaking of Gaza, another horrendous bloody day as Israeli airstrikes kept going in what was termed as safe areas.
Many deaths reported as Israeli ground operations entered different areasπΏ.
In Tel Aviv, protesters gathered calling for Netanyahu to resign and call for elections immediately. Arguing that he was using the war for his personal political gainsπ.
Let's finish with some sports, India have beaten South Africa by seven runs to win the T20 cricket world cupπ₯³.
They have been waiting eleven years to winπ. Congratulations team India, well doneππ―.
In the Euro 2024, Switzerland pulled a fast one, knocking out defending champions Italy by beating them two nil πΉ.
They are now in the semi finals looking to face either England or Slovakia.
In the other game, Germany are through by knocking Denmark out, beating them two nil.
Congratulations π to both Switzerland and Germany. More interesting games are upcoming and am looking forward.
