Hello everyone π»,
Happy hump πͺ day and a very warm welcome to my report. I have had a great day and as that midnight hour beckons am back to fill you in on how it went including the trending stories that caught my eye π.Alright, here we go again, come on π¨.
I did begin my day with the usual walk around the neighborhood. A beautiful sunny π but cold π₯Ά morning - the temps at 2 degrees centigrade. I went grocery shopping then extended a bit into the park.
Throughout the day I followed up on the trending stories, watched some YouTube and checked out Twitter too.
It's been mostly sunnyπ until the sun went down around 4pm.
My last walk was the sunset π walk, around the neighbourhood, dark and cold but I was dressed appropriately.
That's about it, and now let's turn our attention to the trending stories that made headlines.
Starting off in Gaza, the blood bath continued with the deaths of 38 Palestinians across the stripπΏ. Israeli airstrikes hit various areas including Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Al Mawasi and Khan Younis.
Meanwhile Kamal Adwan hospital is on the brink of catastrophe after continued attacks by Israeli forcesπ.
Not far off, the Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon kept going. A strike near the city of Tyre killed four peopleπΏ.
After talks in Beirut yesterday, US envoy Amos Hochstein was in Tel Aviv today as he tries to broker a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah.
Let's hope it goes throughπ€π―.
Meanwhile, at least 36 killed in Israeli attack on Syria's PalmyraπΏ.
Iraq trending as they carried out the first census in 27 years. A two day curfew is in effect to ensure the count is as accurate as possible.
In the other war, Ukraine has fired UK made storm shadow missiles into Russiaπ.
Meanwhile, Russia has condemned US plans to supply Ukraine with programmable land mines.
Georgia trending as the frequent protests continued, they have been protesting since the parliamentary elections on October 26. They are demanding new election immediatelyπ
Across the pond, the US has vetoed draft resolution on Gaza ceasefire at the UN security council in New York. It's the fourth timeπ.
The resolution is demanding an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza strip.
The US voted it down while the 14 other members of the council voted in favour. The US saying that a durable end to the war must come with release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
Finally, Brazil trending as President Lula and Chinese president Xi signed dozens of trade deals as Brazil-China ties deepened.
So that's it from me, see you again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday π. Until then, stay safe, take care and toodles β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―.
