Hello everyone π»,
Happy Monday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's a new month , new week and I woke up feeling quite energized and ready to go for my morning walk.
Luckily the sun π was out but was almost immediately replaced by thick cloudsπΉ. So I got going around the neighborhood. I had a nice quick 20 minutes walk then I was back indoors.
That cold π₯Ά breeze is definitely really discouragingπΏ.
The day flew by pretty fast but I got the chores done and had lots of time to go through some of the trending stories.
.So my final walk was the usual slow paced sunset π walk that winds down my day. Mostly around the park then I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So what has been happening around the world π.
Starting off in Gaza, the blood bath continued with a number of Palestinians killed as Israeli airstrikes hit a busy market in Gaza cityπΏ.
UN secretary general Antonio Guterez, has described the situation in Gaza as appalling and apocalypticπ.
Elsewhere, despite ceasefire, Israel army launched attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon killing two peopleπΏ.
In response Hamas fired rockets π for the first time since the ceasefire agreement. Both sides blaming each other for ceasefire violationπ.
There's unease among residents of south Lebanon that the ceasefire will not last.
Not far off, Syrian govt forces are carrying out airstrikes on the north west cities of Aleppo and Idlib. There are trying to fight off rebels who have taken over these areas and planning to expand further southπ.
Russian airstrikes are helping Syrian govt in pushing back rebels.
In the other war, German chancellor Olaf Sholz has visited Kyiv, met Zelensky and promised military aid package worth $683 million as Ukraine deals with attacks from Russia especially on its power grid.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden trending as he issued a full pardon to his son HunterπΉ.
Hunter was facing two criminal convictions and was due for sentencing later this month. He would have definitely done time in prison.
Biden who had earlier said he wouldn't pardon his son seems to have changed his mind, now saying that Hunter had been singled out for political reasons.
Speaking of Biden, he is currently visiting Angola, after a brief stop in Cape Verde. I don't know the aim of the trip because it's just a few weeks before Trump takes over.
Trump on the other hand will definitely not be visiting Africa just as he didn't in his first term. He infamously had some derogatory names for African countriesπ.
Anyways, that's it from me today, see you tomorrow on a fiery tree π² Tuesday. Stay safe, take care and toodles β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―
