Hello everyone 😻,

TGIF 🎊🎉 Happy New Year and a very warm welcome to my report. I trust your day is going well 💯, mine has been awesome and it's now that time of day to slow down and fill you in on how it went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Without much further ado let's glide in 💨.
So I began my day with a quick walk around the neighborhood. Another cloudy chilly drizzly 🌧️ morning but I was dressed appropriately.
Then I was back indoors after about 20 minutes of walking ending up at the grocery.
I set out to do some house chores before settling down to some you tube videos and checking on trending stories on x.
The day turned sunny 🌞 mid morning until it turned dark around 4pm😹.
The evening saw me out for my final walk around the city centre before heading back indoors.
So now let's quickly take a look at what has been trending.
Starting off in Gaza, another horrendous bloody day unfolded with 61 Palestinians killed across the strip today😿.
Also trending, Israel has ordered evacuation of Al Awda and Indonesian hospital🙀. Most patients say they have no where to go, staff saying many others are not well enough even to be transported. This after Israeli forces totally destroyed Kamal Adwan hospital and arrested its director🙀.
WHO is warning Israel that destroying medical facilities amounts to war crimes. Let's see if they stop the attacks on hospitals.
Then Syria trending as the diplomatic visits continued. This time the foreign ministers of France and Germany stopped by Damascus for high level talks with the new administration.
The world is watching hoping Syria will be a stable democracy free from authoritarian government.
Across the pond, Donald Trump trending as judge in New York sets January 10 as the day of his sentencing in the hush money case. Remember he had been convicted. But he will definitely not be serving any jail terms as president elect😹.
Also trending, republicans have re elected Mike Johnson as US house speaker in a nail biting vote😹.
Remember republicans control both houses, so Trump will have a fairly easy time passing stuff through the houses.
Finally, police in south Korea have been unable to arrest former impeached president after his supporters outnumbered police and surrounded his house, shielding him from arrest😹, Some supporters were crying and others wailing loudly....political shenanigans indeed😹.
