We are at the end of March, which means that spring is just around the corner. I usually plant tomatoe seeds in my hydroponics growing system around mid-April.
After two to four weeks, I transplant small tomato plants outdoors into a small hot house. The weather in Western Washington is too cold for tomatoes to be without hot house until the end of May or even June.
I plant my own tomatoes because they taste much better than the tomatoes they sell at the stores around here. Even tomatoes from farmers markets are not as good as the ones that you pick from your tomatoe bush.
In addition to tomatoes 🍅 I am planning to plant grapes in our backyard. We have a giant rock wall in our backyard, and I hope grapes can eventually cover it at least in summer.
Another thing that is coming up this spring is a major project preparing to sell the property. My parents are finally vacating it this week.
This is a forced move. They lived there for five years without paying anything and doing any maintenance. They were collecting air bnb for another property that I gifted to them. Meanwhile, this property has been deteriorating for the last five years. Eventually it got so bad that my insurance company dropped me because of the condition of the roof, deck and siding.
All that would have to get fixed this spring and then I am going to put this property on the market.
I will have a lot of landscaping work to do to make it look as presentable as possible. There will be work to make the lawn look green, put in a bunch of bark, trim plants, get rid of dead plants, etc.
All of this work should pay off by getting rid of a huge monthly drain on our family budget. This in combination with my recent promotion at work should make a huge difference in our family budget.
Maybe my wife will finally retire for real, but knowing her that is never going to happen LOL 😆

I hope things work out for you my friend, and the drain on your budget stops…
Everything is so very expensive now days!😮
Hope so too.
👍😊
Beautiful flowers!
I plant tomato seeds as well, I start around March 15 and move them outside 8 weeks later, so that's about the same time as for you, half May.
My seedlings are just getting born!
