Blowing so hard, windows protected by a four feet wrap around porch, had rain running down them!😮
Most of Silvertop’s home runs off Solar power, and deep cycle batteries.
Cot and Cyle have a deluxe kitty water fountain, illuminated with an underwater blueish color light.
We keep this in our master bathroom running on grid power. This way we can hear the water cascading at night, and see the glowing fountain, in the dark.
This is our “Grid Power” kitty night light and power monitor……………😺
The Mrs was startled this morning when our outdoor patio table umbrella was picked up by the high wind and was headed towards our patio door!😮
That’s when we noticed the fountain had stopped……..😳
No Power Liz!!!
No Sun as well!!!!
It was time to set up the backup propane generator!
I really need to write down how to do this step by step, so Liz knows how to operate the transfer switches and the Generator……..😇
As I proceeded to unwind electrical cables for the generator, I had the Mrs write down a step by step guide!🥰
Hot showers are so wonderful, before “Generators” we used a portable camping on demand shower, and we also kept several five gallon buckets of fresh chlorinated water on hand for this shower.
This served the purpose, but you always smelled like you just stepped out of a swimming pool Lol!🙄
“The dangerous high wind storm is forecast to continue all day today Silvertop! If we can drive down the Mountain pass my treat to Lattes in town!”🥰
“Liz, I think that’s much safer than a hike today, the Mountains will be here tomorrow!😊

That is so neat... to use the kitty nightlight to monitor power! My house is littered with nightlights, !LOL.
It is a good idea that Lis knows how to switch to the generator. Me, no plan B. But I am stocked with batteries for lights.

Wowzers, you are getting quite a wallop of rain, with some solid wind to boot! I've used a propane generator once before, and I liked it! A gas generator is what we have now in the jungle, which generally works OK. May y'all stay afloat, with lots of sun coming to dry up all the rain! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
