New Hiking Pattern Ahead!😊

Being safe is one of Silvertop’s highest priorities while hiking in the Mountains!😇
Weather, difficult terrain, and the occasional interaction with our local wildlife can be potentially extremely dangerous!😺🐻
Unfortunately as the weather changed from Summer to Fall, and now Winter, many drivers have not adjusted to the challenging conditions on our Mountain roads!🙄
After Church today, Silvertop and Liz, were once again playing Santa!
The Mrs was driving her red Suzuki Sleigh down the Mountain pass, we were going Christmas shopping in town.☺️
The first two photo were taken at the bottom of one of our Mountain Passes.
No one slows down, you need to assume the side traffic ( that HAS a stop sign) is going to run their stop sign!😳
Driving defensively is always the best/safest plan!😇
One hand on the horn, and ready to hit the brakes at any moment, is our plan!😬
About a Month ago, a driver didn’t stop…………..
A tragic accident occurred, and an eleven year old Girl lost her life at this intersection……………
Now…… this intersection is a four way stop!😇
A good step in the right direction!👍
Unfortunately the driver that “Ran” his stop sign was intoxicated……………..
Everyone please be safe on the roads this Holiday Season, and all year long!
Santa has LOTS of presents to deliver, and we don’t want anyone to miss out!😍
“ Liz, I added a can of Bear Spray to my Santa gift wish list. I already have one can, but you can’t be too careful! Maybe you should keep a can in your car, as well Lol!” ☺️

That's terrible, a young life taken by a negligent drunk driver. It will be a terrible Christmas for her family.
I can’t even imagine dealing with the loss of a child……🙄
Hopefully this new ( now four way stop ) will prevent this from ever happening again!
Always drive defensively! I always assume the people around me are going to do the stupidest thing possible at any given point in time. Too bad that 11 year old lost her life there, hopefully the 4 way stop will make it safer. Stay safe out there in the winter conditions!
At the moment because it’s a new four-way stop, we have a sheriff parked nearby, watching for people that run the stop sign. At least for now it will be much safer!👍
