Making Trees and Shrubs (My Actifit Report Card: September 6)

Greetings, everyone!

I have no clue if I'm doing it right, but I need my garden more trees and shrubs. As I am on a low budget, I am trying to see if I can make this for free...

Three weeks ago, I trimmed my few Wild Privet shrubs, I selected the best thirty branches and dropped them into a bucket of water. I added a branch from a Platanus tree and a few more from a Carpinus Betulum tree.

These last ones (Carpinus Betulum) showed no signs of life and have dried out completely. The others looked promising.

Today, I've spent time planting them in a temporary ground where they should spend the winter.

I worked out the ground, made a ditch, and filled it with compost from my garden.

I covered the compost with earth, made a parallel ditch for watering, and planted the branches in the side wall:

For the next weeks, I will keep the humidity high, and hopefully, they will make it to the spring...
