The past few months has been an absolute rollercoaster. The whole year has being incredible. After finally registering for the gym, my mental health improved. Now I've decided to sign up with a boxing coach and what a journey it is looking like. A couple days ago, I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for a boxing class. At my gym, there is this lad that comes over every now and then to train and practice his boxing. The gym has been an absolute game changer for me, and now I am a gym addict. Apart from wanting to stay fit, and get stronger and looking better, which is a bonus; I also want to be able to fight and defend myself and the people I care about. So, the opportunity was perfect. I started taking the classes a couple of days ago and I've learned quite a lot.
- Boxing is a fitness game - I thought I was in good shape until I had a cardio session. Boy was I stretched to my very limit. High jumps, jumping jacks, high knees, tire flips, etc. You name it. For some reason this guys could go on and on, and I was just gassed in a couple minutes. It was an incredibly eye opening experience.
Everyday is leg day - when it comes to boxing, it seems everyday is leg day. On my first day, I did a lot of bodyweight squats and now my legs are absolutely dead. Thats not even the kicker. You have to stay on your toes and lean on your legs. It's incredibly difficult. The stance is very challenging.
Mind game - It's a game of the mind when it comes to boxing it seems. I'm always trying to push myself. Always try to outfox the guy in front of me. It's always a game of the mind. Thinking and sticking to the stance and defence position. What a flipping headache. It was has being beautiful, and I thought I'd share with you guys what I've been up to. Thanks for reading. Cheers
