Greetings this Friday Evening from the foothills π£ποΈ in Western Maine π
As I write this I'm happy to share that we're getting some much needed & appreciated raaaaiiiin βοΈ with passing thunderstorms ππ₯°
I loooove a good thunder & lightening storm β€οΈβοΈ Growing up they were one of my favorite things π Last night we got one of the best lightening shows I've seen in a long time π
It seemed as if it was just hovering over us directly. The sky just kept lighting up βΊοΈ
Anyway. Tonight I'm sharing pictures I took on a previous trip to Crawford Notch. It's a fabulous spot to injoy if you're a nature lover like me π³
There's plenty to explore π£ & do
A short walk over a nice bridge will lead you to a choice.
Perhaps you feel like a short 10 minute walk? Or maybe you would prefer something a little longer?
I opted for neither that day π I was actually intending to head further north and that was just a stop along the way β
It was a lovely trip indeed π₯°
Regarding today.. among the things I accomplished were cutting up this downed birch limb and composting it.
I used the cleared space to begin organizing some of my pallets which in turn also makes space for where my shed is going βΊοΈ
Did a bit of raking as well. Not much. Only like 4 small piles like the one above.
Took time to injoy the flowers, insects and wildlife as usual βΊοΈ and of course got my day started with a good walk and the most beautiful music πΆ the birds π₯°

What a lovely outdoor activity to welcome us today! So good that you get close to nature every day. That's something I miss living in the city. Thank you for sharing your mountain trip too. That looks like a really beautiful place to enjoy -- peace and quiet. Happy weekend!

I miss summer rains. It's been a long while since we've had a good downpour or any rain at all. So for now I'll enjoy your description of a nice solid thunder and lightning storm.
