On 05 December 1980, the album "Made in America" by the band The Blues Brothers is released.
The Blues Brothers were initially a comedy duo formed by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd who appeared on the prestigious television show Saturday Night Live. Gradually they began to introduce blues and rhythm blues musical numbers accompanied by the show's band. Given their success and popularity among television viewers, they decided to record an album in 1978, which immediately became number one in sales.
In 1980 they participated in the popular film The Blues Brothers directed by John Landis and toured the country with their own band of highly experienced and prestigious musicians. The live album "Made in America" was recorded from this tour.
Two years later John Belushi died of an overdose and although The Blues Brothers were resurrected years later as a musical product with another duo, their success was no longer the same.

The same thing happened to Belushi as to many music stars. The human mind is very treacherous.
