On 13 March 1984, the American rock band The Cars released the album "Heartbeat City". It was their fifth studio album and became a huge commercial and critical success. It is undoubtedly one of the band's best works and a classic of 80's pop rock music.
For this album the band had the producer of AC/DC and Def Leppard, who achieved an incredible and more direct result than in their previous works, skilfully combining the characteristic sound of classic rock guitars with the use of synthesizers and electronic drums. The result was fantastic with a more elegant and commercial sound, more in line with the 80s.
"Heartbeat City" contains 10 songs, many of which were big hits in the international charts. The song "You Might Think", was a smash hit around the world winning the MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year in 1984.
