After a pretty good but boring 6 road miles yesterday I was ready to get back onto the dirt so I headed up to Granite Basin for some trail mileage.
It was another frigid morning but there was no wind and the bright sun quickly pushed the temperature above freezing as I got ready to run.
There wasn't any other people at the trailhead and I had the forest to myself except for the numerous birds. The first mile and a half was easy as my legs had to loosen up and then the next 3 miles were up and down but the trail was wider and there weren't many rocks to be concerned about.
Once I finished the trail it was a fast mile or so downhill on the paved road to finish up a very enjoyable day.
