The weekend is done and I knocked off another long(er)run as well as a nice hike at Granite Basin with Lulu - a great day all around.
I started off the day getting some blood samples for testing various biomarkeŕs to (hopefully) help check how my body is doing over the next couple of years at least. I've always been interested in these metrics and it's always good to see if and how various changes in diet and training are affecting me.
I started my run after a nice hour under my sauna blanket as well as adding some creatine and ketones to my morning coffee. The sauna seems to help get my body warmed up both figuratively and literally and I'm hoping the exogenous ketone boost will help fuel harder runs - it does seem to be helpful but time will tell.
4 flat loop miles before heading onto the rolling road loop.
I felt good and strong the whole way and my diet was very good as well so I'm happy.
Granite Basin was full of people on this beautiful Sunday afternoon so we had company on the trails for a change.
Just a relaxing 2 mile hike over familiar trails.
