My legs felt recovered enough for some easy miles around the neighborhood this morning although I'm still a ways from real distance for at least another week.
My right ankle remains tender and a bit reddened which makes me think that I somehow developed a little soft tissue cellulitis during the race (maybe from when my left shoe hit/scrapped the ankle). Anyhow, I'm applying infrared treatments and watching it and the swelling is improving but this is something I'm not happy to have happen.
Lulu was happy to get back out walking with me even though no one else outside this morning (despite the mild morning temperatures).
My run wasn't too speedy as my legs felt awfully heavy and they really didn't loosen up until a couple of miles on. Even the normally enjoyable diet miles weren't that great but I finished up with 4 and a half miles so not too bad.
The Forest Service continues to drain Lynx Lake so that they can repair the drainage section so we won't see normal levels until the Spring. The hike around was still great and I'll miss our hikes around the lake when we hit the road in April. Until then I'll enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.
