Walked a lot, seeking for winter mushrooms. I fell under the ice surface in the reeds for the first time this year when crossing a local river. Also, fell through the snow constantly while walking.
Found a couple of good edible oyster mushrooms aka Pleurotus ostreatus. Oyster mushrooms are a group of edible fungi known for their delicate flavor, unique texture, and nutritional benefits. They are widely cultivated and foraged around the world and are popular in many cuisines.
The mushroom oysters have a soft, velvety texture when cooked. Their flavor is mild, slightly sweet, and often described as having a subtle seafood-like taste, which is why they are sometimes used as a meat substitute.
Upon returning to the home, I cooked a chicken with the foraged mushrooms and potatoes. Plus some spices ofc. The fried chicken with oyster mushrooms and potatoes is a hearty and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and crispy potatoes. Let me know in the comments down below if you wanna get a recipe from me.
