I use topsoil for seeding the patches in the lawn and layering the flowerbeds. For the garden, it is triple mix which is compost, fertilizer and black earth at $125 CDN per yard. Pretty good investment if you ask me.

Yes I mixmy compost with omri certified peat moss and ocean forest. I also add nutrients. It does get a bit pricey but we'll worth it.
