Wow 16k+ steps on the side of a mountain?!? That is legit!
We used to go skiing in the Quebec mountains which are not huge, but definitely big enough to be challenging to ski. When I moved to the west part of this province, I did the same thing and switched to snowboarding because the runs were too short and boring. Sure made for some fantastic wipeouts with that strange edge.
Hope today is a little less perilously but equally as fun.
Thanks!
I can definitely understand the challenge switching to snowboarding. It took me quite a while to start getting it, and just a week end a year is probably not enough to improve much now. But it's lots of fun! Yesterday was more relaxed on the board, no big scary fall!
Any advice on which places to try in Quebec? I think it's at least 10 hours drive from around here, but maybe it's worth it to check it out. Although for that long a drive, Mount Bohemia in Michigan Upper Peninsula is also something I want to try at least once.
As for the 16k steps, the Actifit dapp on Android is really sensitive to small vibrations and I guess snowboarding includes a lot of that. I think my other step counting apps on the same phone barely registered 10k steps. But I consider the effort worthy of 16k steps!
Have a great new week ahead!
